I would try for the grocery store first only because Walmart doesn’t exactly have a floral department - - they usually only have bunches of flowers that you can buy (and thats not in all the stores even).

buy the stuff yourself from wal mart and make the bouquets, real or fake. It is much easier than you may think

you can go to a DIY site … it might be cheaper to get the flowers… cut them evenly .. go to a arts & crafts store & get some silk wrap or a bow & tie around them

        Congrats

The Walmart out here doesn’t have real flower bouquets, but they have premade fake ones. Michaels (a local craft store) has really nice options on how to make your own bouquet also. As far as the boutonnieres, most places that have flowers will do them, especially around graduation/wedding season.

I don’t know if walmart does flowers, but I know costco does. Check the link below. They have some nice packages. I don’t know anyone who has gotten from here, but their prices look good.

well the walmart around my home have real flowers bouquet where you could get it for $10 dollars and make it a bouquet yourself. I don’t know about giant eagle because i have never heard of it.
this is a step by step of doing your own bouquets

If you are looking to spend some $, why not try the home grown approach and put some flowers from a friends garden together.

It’s really easy to do it yourself - my sis just got married last weekend, and I did the bouquets and boutonierres, and I had never arranged a flower in my life!

All you need is: a bouquet form with foam, floral wire, green floral tape, about a dozen and a half (depending on how many roses you want in the boutonierre and bouquet), a package of baby’s breath, and a package of leatherleaf fern. All this should run about $20-$30.

As far as making the things, check out this site:

And if you have Sam’s Club rather than Costco, check there, too. Last time I was in the local one, they had a florist doing up centerpieces of some sort, and I’m sure they could easily do a bouquet.

Try to find flowers somewhere for cheap and put them together yourself. you can go to barns and nobels and look at books on how to arrange flowers on your own. That SAVES alot of money. someplaces you can find roses 8.99/ doz OR you can go to a nice florist and pay 3.00/ stem and they will be a little bit more fresh. But your best bet is doing them on your own . My soon to be mother in law and i are doing ours. she has done some florist work in the past but just sitting with her i learned so much.. it really isn’t that hard as long as you want a simple all rose hand tied bouq.

Hi. I don’t have that particular grocery store in my area, but go in there and see if they have a floral department. If they do, then YES, they will be able to do a simple bouquet and boutonniere for you. It’s that easy! Tell them what you want and get a price. Usually a floral department in a grocery store is cheaper than a regular florist. But…you may want to price compare anyway. Go to a local florist and see what it will be. I know a boutonniere usually runs about $10….a simple bouquet should only be about $35-$50 (maybe cheaper depending on how many roses you want.)

Walmart does NOT do floral arrangements. I know this for a fact. You can purchase flowers from there, but you have to do it yourself.

        Good luck!

a spread eagle wedding cake would be better

      • Jedi Cheze Whiz says:

I would get the cake from Wal-Mart. There cakes are pretty. You can buy a bouquet of flowers from Wal-Mart but they are not wedding flowers, just a bunch of flowers in plastic wrap. I would recomend buying flowers and making your own.

I’m sure Giant Eagle’s floral department can help you out. Wal-Mart’s flowers are a little beat-up looking, at least at the one in our town. Do you have a Safeway or Von’s there? They do a great job with both cakes and flowers. Have fun!

it depends on the store. i know the meadville giant eagle does do weddings and does a very nice job but i’m not sure about the others. some of them are self serve floral departments and i’m pretty sure they don’t do weddings. next time your shopping stop and ask, they will either tell you yes or no. the price would depend on the size of the bouquets. i’m pretty sure that the ge i mentioned has a package deal but it just depends on your location.

Are you a costco member? They have some decent flowers.
